Spring - Earthing - Sungazing


Spring is a perfect time to reconnect to the earth. The benefits of spending time outdoors and connecting to Mother Earth are endless. If you think about it, the earth is like a gigantic battery that contains a natural, subtle electrical charge. For safety and stability, most everything in the electrical world is connected to the earth. This is what the term "grounded" means.


Grounding - Earthing - Sungazing:


Grounding, earthing and sungazing are techniques used to electronically reconnect you to the earth. The result is a sense of feeling grounded, centered, solid, strong, balanced, less tense and less stressed. Overall, you feel good.


We are bioelectrical beings living on an electrical planet. Our body operates electrically. Our cells are constantly transmitting multiple frequencies to the heart, brain, immune system, muscles and nervous system. The more you spend time outdoors and literally touch the earth, the better you will feel. Your circulation literally improves, aiding in the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the tissues in your body.


Sungazing is another way to center and ground yourself. It is an act of staring at the sun when the Sun's UV index is at its lowest points of the day. Sunrise and sunset. Sungazing offers a multitude of benefits including lowered stress, increased energy levels, improved eye health, boosted immune system, increased awareness, clearer thinking and opening of the third eye chakra.


Grounding Techniques:


The following are some simple ways you can ground yourself and feel better.

  • Walking barefoot on grass or rocks

  • Touching trees

  • Activities in nature

  • Breathing in fresh air

  • Listening to birds and animals

  • Eat seasonally

  • Walk barefoot in the sand

  • Listen to the ocean waves

  • Meditate

  • Find a hobby you enjoy

When you take the time to ground yourself, you will spend less time inside your head and feel at home in your body. This is a perfect way to bring yourself into the present moment where clarity and wisdom reside. Earthing Technique - 5 Senses:


The 5-4-3-2-1 (5 senses) is a technique for Earthing. This is a fun activity that you can engage in with others or even if you have children. There are several questions to answer while in nature. Here they are: 1. What are five things you can see?


2. What are four things you can feel?


3. What are three things you can hear?


4. What are two things you can smell?


5. What is one thing you can taste? You can bring your favorite snack along with you for the tasting technique and closely focus your attention on the flavors.


Many environments we are in today are harmful to us, but we are so used to it. Many of us are bored, stressed, and anxious and we don't know where it is coming from. Poor physcial environment and lack of connecting with nature are the culprits. Creating a healthy natural environment and connecting with nature heals you. It puts you in perfect balance. It reminds you creation is all around you; creation is one.
