Receive Wisdom From Tree Energy

Updated: Jul 18, 2023

Trees are sacred citizens of the world. They are intelligent, give us oxygen, provide a home to many animals and insects, and nurture the health and well-being of the eco-system.

From the moment a tree sprouts from the earth, it spreads its arms - branches - towards the sky to receive all energies to get connected to universal life force for growth, yet rooted on earth. It flows with natural forces, making itself stronger, taller, and beautiful.

Trees always give just like the rest of nature, teaching and reminding us that giving is the Law of Nature. Tree is a guru and a reflection of a Supreme Provider. Trees provide many bounties that contribute to our health and survival. Trees reflect what it is to be alive and remain alive to the last moment. Even when trees die, every part of them is of great value.

Notice how a tree never retaliates no matter how many times a human plucks at its leaves or scratches its bark. It continues to be patient and follow its karmic path. Magnificent are the life of trees that spread life force to all and shelter for the weary. Trees are a great source of inspiration and spew wisdom for those willing to take the time to sit within their presence. After all, Buddha attained enlightenment under the natural canopy of the Bodhi tree.

Trees expect nothing from others like a true yogi derive energy from the eternal force. The tree's mission is to nourish others. They are the epitomy of harmony, peace, and unconditional love.

Simple Ways To Receive Wisdom FromThe Love of Trees:

  • Go to a park or forest and spend time with trees, or be with them in your imagination.

  • Befriend a tree by sitting and leaning against its trunk. Feel its bark on your back and imagine the tree's heart connecting to your heart. Be open to whatever arises in terms of sensations, feelings, images or memories.

  • Become a tree in your imagination. Notice what it would feel like to stand tall through every season day and night. Imagine the world from the perspective of a tree.

  • Return to trees in your imagination at any time especially when challenges arise. Feel their support and their love holding you up.

  • Support organizations that protect the well-being of forests and join them.

There is nothing like getting out into nature and spending time amongst the trees to restore some balance in your life. Who knows, you may even find enlightenment along the way.

Maximum Yang Day:

Everything in nature is in a constant flux between yin and yang. This holds true for human beings too. When we are in balance, we experience yin and yang energy channeling through us. Like the seasons, we are constantly changing our relationship to yin and yang. When it comes to the seasons, summer is the time of yang. Sunshine, long days, and hot weather all reflect yang energy that is vibrant and full. Within the months of summer, the Summer Solstice is the day of 'maximum yang.' It is a time when the world is experiencing the fullest expression of nature's yang energy.

How To Harness This Yang Energy:

As humans, we naturally take on the energy that sourrounds us. It's no surprise that many find themselves wanting to get outside during the summer months. Yang energy seeks to engage with the world and celebrate life. Spending time outside and being active is one way to absorb the yang energy of the Summer Solstice.

The Summer Solstice is also a time when the fire element is more present in the natural world than any other day. The sun embodies fire and yang energy at its fullest. It is the source of warmth and light for all living things on earth.

The fire element is associated with joy, passion, vision and life purpose. Therefore, the Summer Solstice is a perfect time to explore what makes your heart sing and spend time bringing loving joy to all parts of your being.

Whoever is in your life that brings you joy, make it a point to spend time with them during the Summer Solstice. Explore the outdoors and take a mystical journey with Mother Nature. Find a quiet spot where you can relax and absorb the powerful yang energy that nature shares with us during the Summer Solstice.

Feel Good Home:

Summer is a great time to check in with your home for ways to make it feel better. Here are a few things you can do to wake up to a "Feel Good Home.'

  • Bringing natural light into darker spaces is a good starting point when it comes to rethinking a room. Mirrors can make a world of difference. Placing mirrors close to windows, at a perpendicular angle, will reflect light deeper into a room, while bringing a reflection of the outdoors inside.

  • Invest in some additional side tables which doubles as a place for books or an extra lamp.

  • Add better storage which makes working life more serene and seemlessly productive - meaning you are happier at the end of the day, too. Choose something that also brings decorative flare.

  • Give your living room a lift with a new paint color. Follow the feng shui guidelines in my book: The Feel Good Home Feng Shui and Taoism for Healthy Living. You want to make sure you are choosing the right color hue for your room direction.

  • Get Stoned! You've heard of the healing power of stones and essential oils, but combining the two is the double-dose way to relax. Place Amethyst and soothing Sodalite with a few drops of pure essential oils on your nightstand and you are on your way to a blissed out start and end to your day.

  • Good art tells a story, reminding us of the place we bought it and who we were with. Artwork is capable of saying a lot more in an interior than all the curtains, chairs and lamps you spent months selecting. Choosing the right art for each room is also important. You can follow the feng shui guidelines for room directions and best themes to choose in my educational book: The Feel Good Home Feng Shui and Taoism for Healthy Living.

  • Bring joy with a deep cleaning. There's nothing like the luster of a clean home. Start from the top downwards, otherwise you are waisting your time. Keep the windows open and get your groove on with some good tunes. When your done cleaning, give your home an extra energy boost by spraying some pure essential oils throughout the entire space. This is a great way to elevate the energy in your home!

There are so many things you can do to make a happier feeling home. These are just a few ideas. Have fun with the process and if you want to delve deeper into the energy dynamics using feng shui you can order my book here.
