Spiritual Path and Material Gain

Your spiritual development can create greater levels of material success. It's an illusion that material success and spiritual growth don't mix. It only requires living by certain spiritual principles. These principles are nothing new. They have been around for thousands of years. Here they are:

Be Industrious:

Material success goes hand in hand with those who spend their time wisely. This principle is undeniably practical and always leads towards reaching your goals. Less time procrastinating and recreating and more time moving in the direction of your intended goals.

Giving:

It's good to be industrious, but channeling that energy in the right direction is important.

The second spiritual principle - the Law of Giving and Receiving comes into play here. It's important to note that giving precedes receiving. What you receive is determined by the quality of your giving. Therefore, if you want to receive something of value you should give your best possible effort in what you are offering.

Seasons:

There is a verse in the Bible that goes like this:

,

‘For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted…’ –Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

Feng shui is based on the laws and cycles of nature. In short, Spring is a time of working hard to create value, summer is a time of growing what you have previously created, autumn is a time of reaping the rewards from your growth, and winter is a time of rest and recuperation.

It's pretty simple when you think about it but how often do you follow nature's flow and rhythm of the seasons? When you follow nature you know exactly what you should focus on next. If you are struggling with finances, you are most likely stuck in the winter phase. In feng shui, Spring begins at the midpoint between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox or February. This is the time to create so you can offer your services to others and eventually reap the rewards.

When you understand the ebb and flow of the seasons you'll realize that your situation will change. Embrace that reality and prepare accordingly.

Create More Than You Take:

If you create more value than you consume you'll experience material success. If you consume rather than create, the opposite will be true.

Evaluate the ratio of creativity to consumption in your life, and take whatever measures to create more than you consume.

Walk the Walk - Demonstrate Your Spirituality:

Strive to demonstrate your spirituality, not by preaching to anyone, but by setting an example of how a spiritually developed human being should operate day-to-day. This means being honest at all times, only making promises you intend to keep, avoiding gossip, and treating everyone you meet and interact with in the same way you would like to be treated.

How do we become the master of our ship and master ourselves? If we can master ourselves then we can master the kind of impact we make in the world.

When we are exposed to vibrational energy, we want to get to the point where we can consciously use it to raise our vibration and live to our highest potential.

Vibrational energy begins at the Source, the unmanifested potential, the one mind, the Divine, our spirit, our will, and love.

Energy comes to us in the form of different waves and frequency patterns. These patterns of energy carry archetypal information. This vibration can emanate from us and make vibrational changes in our surroundings.

So how do we best use this energy? Ideally, we want to harness it to intentionally raise our vibration therefore causing a more positive impact on our surroundings and the world.

There is a form of consciousness underlying all things. There is a system for how that energy flows to and through us. We want to get to the point where we can bring in energy and stimuli that innately excite us. The energy that ignites our gifts and potential.

The key is to bring pure energy vibration or harmonization to our system. We can achieve this through time in nature, therapeutic essential oils, well-composed music, organic whole foods, or therapeutic healing practices.

Our emotions are another form of energy vibration processed in the ancient part of our brain known as the Limbic system. Think of your emotions as the language of your soul. It is a way for the soul to send you messages. Emotions are triggered by whether or not our needs are being met. The higher self understands the difference between a need and a want. More than not, we become trapped in a world of what the ego wants rather than what the soul desires.

We must become aware of what we are giving our power away to. It’s important to clarify our wants versus our needs. Paying attention to our words can balance the scale between our wants and needs.

One of the easiest ways to balance your wants and needs is to list your wants and then rank them on a scale from 1-10. One being the least desirable or you can live without it and 10 being the most desirable. Find four big wants that rank 10 on your scale. By and large, those top wants will be positive things that money can't buy. For example, health, good relationships, a sense of purpose, and expressing creativity. These are positive thoughts that come from your higher self.

The year of the Yin Wood Snake (2025) also brings in the Earth Base star known as the "Nurturer."

The Earth is more than just a planet; it’s a source of life and spiritual nourishment. Beyond its physical form, Earth holds deep spiritual significance, embodying the essence of growth, stability, and sustenance.

The Earth is revered as Mother Earth, Gaia, or Pachamama. It symbolizes the interconnectedness and unconditional support it extends to all life forms. It signifies grounding energy, providing stability and a foundation for life, enhancing balance and calmness.

Mother Earth is associated with fertility through diverse ecosystems, reflecting its creative and divine aspects. Its changing seasons represent the cycle of birth, growth, and renewal paralleling the human journey and the soul's evolution.

The Earth acts as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. Earth and Heaven mirror one another - "As above so below." Its expansiveness teaches humility and respect for the environment and life.

Earth is a great healer and nurturer physically and spiritually. She cultivates relationships with all things offering knowledge, wisdom, and unconditional love.

The Earth’s spiritual essence is rich and complex, teaching us about nurturing, stability, and the sacred cycles of life. It invites us to reflect on our cosmic journey and to live in harmony with the universe.

In the year of the Snake, achieving balance, truth, and harmony supports the journey towards spiritual transcendence. Spiritual richness is a necessity of a receptive foundation for growth.

Take time this year to walk barefoot on Gaia and absorb its natural charge, reducing stress and enhancing calmness. Engaging in outdoor meditations strengthens your connection to earth promoting stability and peace. Gardening offers a hands-on way to engage with Gaia.

Earth is a symbol of life, endurance, and resilience, embodying the physical realm where our spiritual journey unfolds. It represents lessons learned through direct experience. Earth anchors the soul, fostering growth and understanding of the universe.

It's a good idea to carry grounding stones with you this year such as Black Tourmaline, Smoky Quartz, or Black Obsidian to keep the earth's vibration close to you.
