Yin Earth in nature is represented by any kind of soil, a thin layer of earth or sand. Its main purpose is to nurture and help things grow. This month it’s important to develop your skills, grow, be resourceful and adaptable, especially when you are not familiar with a situation.

Have a mind-set towards helping other people especially when it comes to solving a problem. This will go a long way when it comes to achieving your goals and developing your skillset.

Spend time this month building your mental capabilities, through philosophy, art, science, religion and anything that captivates your mind and enhances your intuition. This will natrally seque with the Ox energy to strengthen your true nature.  As one of the four faces of God, the Ox archetype reminds us to strengthen our connection to self and the Divine. In yoga, we refer to this as Brahmacharya or walking in the presence of God.

Focusing the mind on the inner work through stillness practices such as meditation is essential. When you par-take of the sacred as you engage in your daily routines you begin to recognize all of creation resides within. Strengthening connection to self-aligns with the creative energy of the cosmos. It is a spiritual magnetism or unraveling of the soul to allow Divine light to enter your mind. Positivity is expressed towards self and others as a result.

As you continue to strengthen connection to self the seer arises. It is clear you are not your mind or your body. You are the witness to what the mind and body are doing. This is when the true self stands alone, apart from the drama, illusion and chaos.

At the core, you are pure awareness, the seer. This is where the domain of all possibilities exists. You no longer operate on the level of object referral or what is happening outside the self in terms of situations, people, and things. Strengthening connection to self opens the pathway to the law of pure potentiality. It reminds you that every movement emerges from the silent field of infinite possibilities.

The Ox archetype will also play out the additional qualities of steadfastness, strength, diligence, reliability, perseverance and the ability to build enduring foundations through persistent effort. Strong work ethic and focused achievement is essential during an Ox month. Be patient, determined, consistent and trustworthy with your work. Financial reward is the result of your efforts.  

 Working with Ox Energy

There are a few things to consider when working with Ox energy this month. If you can discipline yourself to embrace the practice of persistence you will reap the rewards of achieving your goals.

You want to re-establish what is authentic in your life. What is working? What isn’t? Take some time in meditation and receive the guidance you are looking for.

You also want to acknowledge when your determination becomes inflexible. It’s essential to adapt to new situations and opportunities. Easier said than done when it comes to the Ox. There’s a first time for everything!

Additional Energy

The fire star representing expansiveness creates another energy pattern this month. This star is the embodiment of brilliance. It is a radiant, passionate and blunt energy. This star is also regarded as the “Clinging” and a symbol of light and heat. Its attribute is brightness representing intelligence and illumination.

This star is known as the “Clinging” as fire (yang) needs to attach to something of the material world (yin). This can easily create overattachment and addictions to things this month. Awareness and consciousness are essential so we do not get caught up in the trappings of the small self (ego).

Establishing clarity of vision is essential. This comes from the heart and not filled with the things of the mind. We are subjected to earthly influences, but these are not of our true nature. The quality of this star burns the toxic self so one can be liberated. This is expressed in the Taoist saying, ‘Being beyond the world while living in the world.’

The fire star positioned in the center of the feng shui map this month will create a shift for the remaining stars moving in a specific pattern that will impact other areas of your life.
